Start your week off on the right foot! Join Pastor Julia for a Walk in Ewing Park this summer, Tuesdays at 9:00AM. Our route and pace will be determined by the group. We will walk on these Tuesdays, weather permitting: July 20, 27; and August 3, 10, and 31. Meet in the parking lot by the tennis courts. Hope to see you there!
You’re invited to a “picnic and parlez” (that’s French for chat) on Wednesdays, July 21st, 28th; August 4th and 11th, Noon-1:30, under the church picnic shelter. Bring a sandwich and a friend. We’ll supply beverages and dessert. Join us as we look at four Bible stories about God’s love. The first is called “God’s love is like a picnic.” Hope to see you there!
American Cancer Society Program Helps Women Overcome Effects of Cancer Treatment: Ellwood City, PA: On Monday July 26th the American Cancer Society will offer its Look Good…Feel Better® program to residents in Lawrence County. Looking for some good summer reading? Get your copy of Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt, by Anne Rice, from Pastor Julia today for $6 each. What might it have been like for Jesus as a small boy, as he comes to the realization of who he is? Travel with Jesus and his family as they return home to Nazareth from Egypt. Anne Rice had a rebirth of faith in her own life, and is an excellent writer. We will meet for a book discussion on Sunday, Sept. 19, 3 PM.
We are collecting items for the health kits and emergency clean-up buckets. Health kits need to contain: a hand towel, a washcloth, a comb, a metal file or nail clippers, a bar of bath-size soap, a toothbrush, a tube of 4-7oz. toothpaste and 6 band-aids, all sealed in a one-gallon zipper bag. The list of items needed for the buckets is on the table in the narthex.
The Harvest Table is back!
Do you have extra produce from your garden to share? Bring it to the Harvest Table in the narthex.
